The narrow streets of Kaş lead down to the harbour; among houses draped in bougainvillea you find the Long Bazaar and an ancient theatre. Across the water lies the Greek island of Kastellorizo, known locally as Meis, and day trips leave by boat from the harbour. Kalkan to the west and Kekova with the village of Üçağız to the east are quiet corners of the same coast.
Halfway along the road between Kaş and Kalkan, at the foot of the cliffs, Kaputaş Beach is famous for its turquoise water. Meeting at the top of the steps down to the beach makes the ride back easier.
