1. Parties and acceptance
These terms are between Waygo Transfer ("Waygo") and the person who uses the Waygo mobile apps and website ("User"). By creating an account, you confirm that you have read these terms and the Personal Data Notice (KVKK).
You must be 18 or over to open an account.
2. The service
Waygo is a transport platform that lets riders book a car from where they are to where they want to go and be matched with a suitable driver. Waygo Transfer operates a platform that matches riders with approved drivers for their rides.
3. Account
- Your account is tied to your verified mobile phone number. Each person may open only one rider account.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details (PIN, verification codes) secure.
- If your details change, you must update them.
4. Fares
- The ride price is set in euros (EUR). A fixed route price applies between the airport and certain holiday areas; other rides use a tiered distance tariff based on the real road distance (km) between pickup and drop-off. Some areas have their own distance tariff.
- When you book, the euro price is converted to Turkish lira at the latest euro forex selling rate published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT/TCMB). On weekends and public holidays the last published rate applies. Waygo may add an exchange margin to this rate or set the rate itself for a given period; in every case the rate used is included in the TL fare shown before you confirm.
- Payment is made in Turkish lira (TL). The "≈ €" amount shown below the TL fare in the app is for information only.
- The fare is per vehicle; the number of passengers does not change it. A vehicle carries at most 6 passengers.
- The TL fare shown before you book is binding and is locked when you book. It does not change during the ride because of traffic, the route or exchange rate movements.
- If you change the destination during the ride, the new fare is shown to you and your approval is requested.
- Rates and exchange-rate settings may be updated by Waygo. Updates do not affect rides already confirmed.
5. Payment
- Payment is currently made in cash to the driver at the end of the ride. Card payment is coming soon; when it is added, this section will be updated and you will be notified.
- The amount you pay is the TL fare shown before you book and fixed at the moment you book. The driver may not ask for more than this amount.
- The driver confirms in the app that the cash payment was received. The amount paid and the payment method are shown in the app at the end of the ride.
- If you have a payment problem (for example, being asked for a different amount), you can report it through in-app support.
- The receipt is shown in the app at the end of the ride and sent to your registered email.
6. Cancellation
- Cancellations within the first 3 minutes after a driver is assigned are free.
- No cancellation fee is currently charged after that; if one is introduced, the amount will be shown in the app in advance.
- If you don't get into the car within 10 minutes of the driver reaching the pickup point, the driver may end the ride as "rider no-show".
- The cancellation reason is recorded. Frequent cancellations without reason may lead to restrictions on the account.
7. User obligations
Users agree:
- to provide accurate information,
- to treat the driver, other passengers and the car with respect, and not to damage the car,
- not to carry illegal items in the car,
- not to pressure the driver into breaking traffic rules,
- to use in-app messaging and calls only for ride-related purposes, without insults, harassment or threats,
- to use the SOS feature only in real emergencies,
- not to abuse the system (fake accounts, fake locations, automated tools, promotion abuse).
8. Terms specific to drivers
- Drivers work with a valid driving licence, the required professional certificates and vehicle documents, and are responsible for keeping them up to date.
- Sharing location while online is a requirement of the service.
- For safety reasons, Waygo may request an instant selfie verification at any time. If verification is not completed within the set time or is rejected, taking new jobs is temporarily paused.
- Drivers may not use, store or share riders' personal information outside the ride.
- On cash rides the driver collects the full fare from the rider; Waygo's commission is recorded as the driver's debt to Waygo and shown in the driver app as the "Payable to Waygo" balance.
- Commission, payment schedule and earnings terms are set out in a separate driver agreement.
9. Ratings
At the end of a ride, the rider and driver can rate each other from 1 to 5. Ratings are used to measure service quality. Accounts with consistently low ratings may be reviewed. A user may choose not to be matched with a particular person again.
10. Suspension and closure of accounts
Waygo may suspend or close an account temporarily or indefinitely in the event of a breach of these terms, a safety risk, suspected fraud, missing documents or a request from a competent authority. Notice of suspension is given in the app and by email. Objections can be submitted through the support channel.
You can delete your account from the app at any time. The details are in the Account Deletion Policy.
11. Lost items
For items left in the car, you can create an "I left something in the car" request from the completed ride screen. Waygo makes reasonable efforts to put you in touch with the driver but does not guarantee that the item will be found.
12. Limitation of liability
Waygo takes reasonable measures to keep the platform running without interruption or errors. Except where liability cannot be limited by law, Waygo is not liable for damage arising from force majeure, outages in internet and GPS infrastructure, incorrect information provided by the user, or disruptions in third-party services.
13. Intellectual property
The apps, the website, and the Waygo name and logo belong to Waygo. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the ODbL licence.
14. Changes
Waygo may update these terms. Significant changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Disputes
These terms are governed by Turkish law. For consumer transactions, Consumer Arbitration Committees have jurisdiction within the monetary limits announced by the Ministry of Trade, and Consumer Courts have jurisdiction for disputes above those limits.
