How do I delete my account?
In the app: Account → Settings → Delete my account
On the web: at waygotransfer.com/en/hesap-silme, enter your phone number and confirm with the code sent to you by SMS.
Deletion steps
- Check: deletion can't start if any of the following applies, and you'll be shown the reason:
- an ongoing or scheduled ride,
- an uncollected payment,
- an open payment dispute or refund process,
- (for drivers) being online or having unpaid earnings.
- Confirmation: you confirm with the verification code sent to your phone.
- Waiting period: your account is closed immediately and you can't sign in. For 30 days, you can sign in with the same number and tap "Undo deletion" to reopen your account.
- Permanent deletion: at the end of the 30 days, the data in the "What gets deleted" list below is permanently deleted or anonymised. This can't be undone.
What gets deleted
- First name, last name, email, profile photo
- Favourite addresses
- Notification device records and sessions
- Marketing consents
- In-app messages and photos (already kept for 1 year at most)
- For drivers: location history, selfie photos, service areas
To prevent abuse with the same number, your phone number is irreversibly hashed and kept in a form that cannot identify you on its own.
What we must keep by law
The records below are kept for the period required by the relevant legislation and then deleted. During that period, they are used only for legal obligations, not to provide the service:

In these records, your name and contact details are anonymised to the extent that legal obligations don't require otherwise.
What does the other party to a ride see?
In the past rides of a deleted account, the other party sees "Deleted user" instead of your name.
